Mable Rose Sandlin Doss, 87, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of Dewey Allen Doss, died Friday evening, February 1, 2013, at Hospice Savannah.
Born in Buckhorn, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Herd Sandlin and the late Sarah Baker Sandlin. Mrs. Doss was a member of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. She moved to Savannah in 1945 and where she was a dental hygienist for more than 30 years. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra 'Sandy' Rose Smith Bravo; her sister, Virginia Adams, and her brothers, Joseph Sandlin, Omar Sandlin and Floyd Herd Sandlin, Jr.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Jill M. Zacher and her husband, Matthew, of Austin, Texas; her grandson, Thomas Cameron 'Cam' Jenkins and his wife, Melissa, of Ellabell, Georgia; her step-daughter, Belinda Morris and her husband, Richard, of Savannah, Georgia; her step-son, Allen Doss of Savannah, Georgia; two step-grandchildren, Richard Morris, Jr. and Jeffrey Morris; three great-grandchildren, Grayson Gentz, Russell Zacher and Trent Jenkins; three sisters, Faye McIntosh of Buckhorn, Kentucky, Eva Rendon of Gobles, Michigan, and Kathleen Knisley of Buckhorn, Kentucky, and one brother, Zackary Sandlin of Augusta, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon at the graveside, Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by The Reverend Jess Reeves.
