Luis Brial Baez

Luis Brial Baez, 77, of Savannah, Georgia and husband of Silvia R. Baez, died Thursday morning, December 13, 2018, at Memorial University Medical Center with his family at his side.



Born in Havana, Cuba, he was a son of the late Bernabe Baez and the late Maria Merida Baez. Luis was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church. He was a United States Air Force veteran. Luis was president and owner of Xcitek financial data services. He loved spending time with his family, was an accomplished artist, and also enjoyed playing golf and tennis.



Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Silvia R. Baez of Savannah, Georgia; one daughter, Claudine Jensen of Newark, Delaware; one son, Ian E. Baez and his wife, Sarah, of Savannah, Georgia; four grandchildren, Alexa Jensen, Johnny Jensen, William 'Wills' Baez and Barrett Baez; one brother, Jorge Baez of Miami, Florida, and his former son-in-law, John W. Jensen, Jr. of Newark, Delaware.



The Rosary will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by the Very Reverend Daniel F. Firmin with the family receiving friends after the Rosary service and until 4 o'clock.



The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 o'clock Monday morning at St. James Catholic Church conducted by the Reverend Jason P. Adams. Interment, with military honors, will be in in the Catholic Cemetery.
