Lucile Wilson Jackson, 97, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of Chief Warrant Officer Ralph Allen Jackson, United States Air Force (Ret.), died Tuesday afternoon, January 12, 2021.
Born in Americus, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Isaac Evans Wilson and the late Robena Williams Wilson. Although born in Americus, she was raised on Tybee Island and after marrying Ralph they moved to Savannah. Mrs. Jackson was a charter member of Whitefield United Methodist Church. She enjoyed being a military wife while Ralph served our country. Lucile and Ralph owned and operated Jackson Printing for 20 years. Mrs. Jackson was a member of the Lachlan McIntosh Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She loved spending time with her family; and enjoyed genealogy and in particular learning about her family history, and weekly bingo at Savannah Golf Club.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, John 'Johnny' David Smith; one sister, Joanne Boop, and one brother, Harry Wilson.
Survivors include her two daughters, Linda Jackson Foran and her husband, Bill, and Laura Jackson Smith; one son, Alan W. Jackson and his wife, Patricia; seven grandchildren, Earl Sellers (Katie), Louis Sellers (Melissa), Natasha McBride (Frank), Dorie Clark (Kevin), J. D. Smith, Patrick Brantley, and Daniel Brantley (Pauline), and eleven great-grandchildren, Jackson Sellers, Yancey Sellers, Robert Sellers, Matthew Sellers, Joshua Sellers, Riley McBride, Brock Clark, Johnny-James Clark, Rosemary Brantley, Alice Brantley, and Henry Brantley.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, January 19, 2021, at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by the Reverend Dr. Drew Corbett.
