Louise Carolyn Lorentzson Waters, 96, of Chamblee, Georgia and formerly of Savannah, Georgia, widow of John Alexander Waters, Jr., died Friday morning, July 28, 2017, at Sunrise of Johns Creek in Johns Creek, Georgia.
Born in August, 1920, in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Lorentz Lorentzson and Maude Johnson Lorentzson. Mrs. Waters was a former member of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in Savannah and St. Martin in the Fields Episcopal Church in Atlanta. She was a graduate of Savannah High School and a past member of Beta Sigma Phi, a social sorority in Savannah. Mrs. Waters was a loving and devoted housewife and mother who enjoyed playing bridge and going to the beach at Tybee.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lorentzson.
Survivors include her sons, John L. Waters and wife, Carolyn, of Johns Creek, Georgia, and David A. Waters and wife, Allyn of Villa Rica, Georgia, and a grandson, Jonathan M. Waters of Chamblee, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning, August 1, 2017, at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by The Reverend Nathan C. Godley.
