Loretta Marie Milewski Edgar, 92, of Savannah, Georgia and formerly of Massapequa, New York, widow of Richard Alexander Edgar, died Saturday morning, January 14, 2017, at Memorial University Medical Center.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was a daughter of the late Ignatius Milewski and the late Stephanie Grohcska Milewski. Mrs. Edgar was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church. She was a retired salesperson with R. H. Macy and Company. Mrs. Edgar was an avid reader who also loved playing mahjong.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Janet Edgar.

Surviving are one daughter, Joan Digiorgio and her husband, James, of Savannah, Georgia; two sons, Richard M. Edgar of Powell, Ohio, and Bryan P. Edgar and his wife, Janet, of Savannah, Georgia; four grandchildren, Cassandra Edgar, Scott Edgar and his wife, Diana, Christopher Edgar and Laurel Edgar; four great-grandchildren, Cody Prohaska, Sean Edgar, Miranda Edgar and Amber Edgar; one sister, Regina Mongelli and her husband, Gene, of Brooklyn, New York; one brother, Benny Milewski of New Jersey, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 9 until 10:30 o'clock Wednesday morning at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning in St. James Catholic Church conducted by Father Mark J. Ross. Interment will be in Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale, New York.
