Lorene Saba Duffel

Lettie Lorene Saba Duffel, 92, left this world for better on August 23, 2023. She was originally from Marion, Virginia, and born to Joseph and Mary Shelor. She is survived by her husband, Horace, and four sons, Joseph (Toni), David (Gail), Jim (Cindy), and Stephen (Bonnie); as well as 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her brother, Herman Shelor, of Fort Myers, Florida. Lorene was a bookkeeper and hotel administrator/manager for a number of years. She was an industrious homemaker, a passionate square dancer, and she had a reputation for being an excellent cook. She was known for her sweet nature and love for her family. She was active in church life and instilled in her children a desire to follow the Lord. Services will be held on Friday August 25th at Gamble Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors at 11:30am, followed by a celebration of life at 12:30 and burial to follow at Forest Lawn.
