Linda Hester Bedgood, 76, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of James Earl Bedgood Jr., passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, February 8, 2017, at Hospice Savannah surrounded by her family.
She loved spending time with children and was a foster mom for many years. Linda was the office manager for Dr.Ramsey for many years as well. She was a breast cancer survivor.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother and father, Rufus Raymond Hester and Berta Mallette Hester; her son, James Bedgood III; her brother, Rufus 'Buddy' Hester, and her sister, Patricia 'Patty' Nesmith.
Surviving are four daughters, Debbie Harn and her husband, Allan, of Guyton, Theresa Bishop and her husband, George, of Rincon, Pamela Fisher and her wife, Mindy, of Pooler, and Kaylee Bedgood of Savannah; one step-son, Terry Walker and his wife, Wendy, of Savannah; three sisters, Betty H. Fish of Savannah, Marjorie H. Belsak of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Christine H. Decker, of Warner Robins; ten grandchildren and fifteen-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Friday evening at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Marci H. Bourland. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
