Lillian Meitzler Weeks, 93, of Savannah, Georgia, died Sunday afternoon, May 22, 2016, at Azalealand Nursing Home.



Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late George W. Meitzler, Sr. and the late Hazel L. Menardie Meitzler. Lillian was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and the church choir. She worked for Union Camp for 10 years and then for her aunt and uncle in their bicycle shop. Lillian was a life member of the Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament and a member and former president of The Order of the Daughters of the King. She was a gentle, kind and loving child of God who will be missed by many.



In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Robert Walter Weeks, and her brother, George W. Meitzler, Jr.



Survivors include two nephews, Peter A. Meitzler and his wife, Marcia Sanderson, and Richard G. Meitzler and his wife, Pamela; two nieces, Bonnie G. Beach and Lauri Canales; two grandnieces; her godchild, Ann McGill Mones, and her family at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, including David L. Saussy, who has been her loyal and trusted friend for many years.



The funeral service will be held at 2 o\'clock Saturday afternoon, June 4, 2016, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church conducted by The Very Reverend Dr. William Willoughby III. Interment will be in St. Paul's Episcopal Church Memorial Gardens.
