SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Lillian Barron Kennedy, 85, of Savannah, Georgia, widow of Jerrius B. Kennedy and Douglas John Ferrier, died Saturday afternoon, May 8, 2010, at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Born in Burlington, Vermont, she was a daughter of the late Louis Barron and the late Emma Dumas Barron. Mrs. Kennedy was a member of Islands Community Church and was retired as the assistant assessor for the city of South Burlington, Vermont.
In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Arlene and Theresa.
Surviving are two daughters, Brynda Ferrier Grooms and her husband, Tommy Grooms III, of Savannah, Georgia, and Pamela Ferrier Serpa and her husband, Stephen, of Cranston, Rhode Island; three grandchildren, Michael Driscoll, Nickolas S. Serpa and Shalon M. Serpa; one sister, Lorraine Beauchemin of Silva, North Carolina; two brothers, Bernard Barron of San José, California, and Joseph Barron of Mt. View, California, and many nieces and nephews.
The Celebration of Life service will be held at 7 o'clock Wednesday evening at Islands Community Church on Wilmington Island conducted by The Reverend M. Douglas Patterson. Interment will be private.
