SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Lewis Stinson Kimball, Sr. passed away Tuesday, July 7th at Hospice Savannah. Born May 28, 1926 in Baltimore, Maryland, Lew was the youngest of seven children of Leland and Mary Lee Kimball.
Lew worked in the construction industry in the Baltimore area and founded Kimball Construction Co. in 1970. Retiring in 1989, he and his wife Audrey Jackson Kimball moved to the Landings of Skidaway Island 1995 where he enjoyed golf and volunteering at the Bethesda Home for Boys.
Lew is survived by his wife of 59 years, Audrey Jackson Kimball; son Lewis S. Kimball, Jr. and his wife Christine; daughter Kay C. Kimball, and grandchildren Eric S. Kimball, Melanie G. Kimball and Samantha L. Kimball.
Funeral service to be held at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Savannah, GA at 11 am on Friday July 10th.
A Celebration of Life for Lew will be held at the Country Club of Maryland, Towson, MD at 4 pm on Wednesday July 15th.
