Leonora “Nora” F. Reid passed away on May 20, 2024 at home. She was born on March 14, 1944 in Savannah, Georgia to the late Leon Griffin Jr. & Vivian Banks Griffin.
She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. She was a loving wife for 62 years. She loved to crab and fish. She enjoyed working in her flower beds and with her fruit trees. She also enjoyed having a vegetable garden. She loved spending time with her granddaughter and great-grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Nora was preceded in death by her parents, Leon Griffin, Jr and Vivian Banks Griffin as well as her husband, of 62 years, Landall W. Reid, her sister, Barbara Ann White, brother-in-law, Randall B. Reid and several nieces and nephews.
Surviving are: her son, Robert B. Reid; a daughter, Cathy (Walton) Mitchell; granddaughter, Catherine Michelle (Paul) Holton; three great-grandchildren, Addison, Ansley and Levi Holton; three sisters, Ellen (Hinton) Davis, Shirley Saxon, Carol (Tommy) Lane; sister-in-law, Nancy Reid; brother-in-law, Terry (Diane) Reid; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends 10 o’clock – 11 o’clock Friday morning, May 24, 2024, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, where funeral services will follow at 11 o’clock, Reverend Peter J. Hartman officiating.
Interment will be in Greenwich Cemetery, Savannah.
A luncheon will follow at Hoffman Hall at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10 W. 31st Street, Savannah, Georgia.
