Lemuel Vannie Conner, 86, of Thunderbolt, Georgia, died Thursday afternoon, March 31, 2016, at his home.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, and raised in Richmond Hill, he was a son of the late Leon H. Conner and the late Margaret Bowen Conner. As a United States Army veteran, he served in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Conner was of the Baptist faith. He was avid golfer and enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by two daughters, Julie A. Ulmer and her husband, Gary, of Columbia, South Carolina and Laurie J. McCain and her husband, T. J., of Savannah; a son, Michael N. Conner and his wife, Paula, of Savannah; a brother, Harold E. 'Patches' Conner, of Savannah; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one niece, and one nephew.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o\'clock Sunday at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
A private family service will be held on Monday.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Hospice Savannah - Post Office Box #13190, Savannah, Georgia 31416-0190.
