Lawrence "Larry" Gutstein

Lawrence 'Larry' Gutstein, 79, of Savannah, Georgia and husband of Nancy Susan Gutstein, died Tuesday morning, December 25, 2018, at Spanish Oaks Retreat.



Born in New York City, he was the son of the late Joseph Gutstein and the late Doris Barban Gutstein. Larry was a member of Congregation Mickve Israel. He retired as Director, Officer Services with IBM Corporation. Larry was known for his numerous philanthropic interests and his strong community involvement. His most devoted love was for his wife, children and grandchildren.



Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Nancy Susan Gutstein of Savannah, Georgia; two daughters, Sarah Rome and her husband, Brett, of Weston, Massachusetts, and Abigail Gutstein of Baltimore, Maryland; three sons, Adam Gutstein and his wife, Denise, of Stowe, Vermont, Jonathan 'Jono' Gutstein of New York City, and Daniel 'Pancho' Gutstein and his wife, Kay, of Melbourne, Australia; and six grandchildren, Grant Gutstein, Trent Gutstein, Henry Rome, Morgan Rome, Olivia Rome and Isla Gutstein.



The funeral service will be held at 10 o'clock Friday morning at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Robert W. Haas.
