SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Laurana Lyon Simpson, 92, of Savannah, Georgia and formerly of Stuart, Florida, widow of Lt. Col. Stanley Norfolk Simpson, U. S. Air Force (Ret), died Saturday afternoon, January 1, 2011, at Hospice Savannah.
Mrs. Simpson was of the Episcopal faith and was a homemaker.
Surviving are two sons; Shannon Maury Simpson and his wife, Julie, of Gainesville, Georgia and Stanley Chip Simpson and his wife, Patricia, of Savannah, Georgia, and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be private.
