Belinda Kim Knight Simmons, 62, of Savannah, Georgia and wife of the Reverend Larry Dale Simmons, Jr., died Wednesday morning, September 8, 2021, at Hospice Savannah surrounded by her family.



Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth Menzo Knight and the late Bertie Lou Lord Howard. Kim was a member of The Sycamore Church. She enjoyed helping people as a former registered nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital and later for Dr. Roland Summers. Kim loved sewing, especially clothes for her children.



Survivors include her high school sweetheart and husband of 44 years, the Reverend Larry Dale Simmons, Jr.; one daughter, Rachel Christine Robertson and her husband, Kalan; two sons, Jason Daniel Simmons and his wife, Danielle, and Jesse Aaron Simmons and his wife, Erin; eleven grandchildren, Ariel, Joshua, J. P., Zerek, Cali, Khalessia, Hendrix, Emmalynn, Savannah-Kate, Nyoka and Eleanor; one sister, Brenda Knight Green and her husband, Gary; one brother, Kenneth Kevin Knight, and nieces and nephews.



The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 o'clock Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.



The funeral service will be held at 10:30 Monday morning, September 13, 2021, in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by the Reverend L. Dale Simmons, Jr. and Pastor Dusty Reynolds. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
