Katha 'Kathie' George Wilkes Moore, of Brooklet, Georgia, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning on her 68th birthday, April 13, 2016, at her home.
Born in Bethesda, Maryland, she was a daughter of the late Ralph David George and the late Hazel Marie Lamb George.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Mattie George; her brothers, Tommie George and Kenny George, and her step-brother, Truitt Jordan.
Surviving are four daughters, Simone Wilkes White and her husband, John, Shannon Wilkes, Stacey Wilkes and Stephanie Moore and her husband, Stacy; two sisters, Karen Urban and Marianne Smith and her husband, Tim; three step-sisters, Jean Hartley and her husband, Dan, Mary Lou Gillis and her husband, Shannon, and Judy Crosby; twelve grandchildren, Daniel Butler, Sierra Asuncion, Summer Asuncion, Selena Asuncion, John White, Jr., Trey Hopkins, Andrew Hopkins, Alexis Burke, Zachary Burke, Elizabeth Morgan, Taylor Scott and Terry Scott, Jr.; one great-grandson, Stephen Dampier, Jr., and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 10 until 12 Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah.
A celebration of life service will be held at 12 Saturday in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by Greg McAlister. Interment will be private.
