Karen Sue Cantrell Gibson, 46, of Savannah, Georgia and wife of TSgt Christopher 'Chris' Lee Gibson, United States Air Force, died Friday morning, July 31, 2020, at her home with her family at her side.
Born in Decatur, Georgia, she was a daughter of Rebecca Sue Lowery Cantrell and the late Donald Cantrell. Karen was a longtime active member of Compassion Christian Church ' East Campus, where she was the Small Group Leader for Student Ministry. She loved spending time with her husband and kids, missions, going to the beach, and baking.
Surviving are her husband of 13 years, TSgt Christopher 'Chris' Lee Gibson, United States Air Force of Savannah; one daughter, Madison Gibson of Savannah; two sons, Chase Gibson and Logan Gibson, both of Savannah; her mother, Rebecca Sue Lowery Cantrell of Dacula, Georgia; her brother, Greg Cantrell and his wife, Jennifer, of Auburn, Georgia, and her nieces and nephews, Garrison Cantrell, Kaitlyn Cantrell, Caroline Cantrell and Griffin Cantrell.
The visitation will be held from 5 until 6:15 Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at Compassion Christian Church ' East Campus 9150 Old Montgomery Road, with a celebration of life service being held at 6:30 conducted by the Reverend Drew Humphreys. Interment will be private.
