Karen Ruth Krauss Bazemore, 55, of Tybee Island, Georgia and wife of Dr. James 'Jim' K. Bazemore, Jr., died Wednesday morning, January 20, 2016 on Tybee Island.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of Ruth Burdsal Krauss and the late Irvin Joseph Krauss. Karen was of the Catholic faith. She was a Respiratory Therapist. Karen loved her family, friends, and animals. She also enjoyed music, walking on the beach, dancing, boating, and being on Daufuskie Island.
Surviving are her husband of 30 years, Dr. James 'Jim' K. Bazemore, Jr. of Tybee Island; children, Jordan Bazemore, Jake Bazemore, Blake Bazemore, McKenna Bazemore, Benjamin Harrison and her furry, four legged babies; her mother, Ruth B. Krauss of Savannah, and her brother, Scott A. Krauss of Jacksonville, Florida.
The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 o'clock Saturday afternoon at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 6 o'clock Saturday evening in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Patrick S. O'Brien. Interment will be private.
In honor of Karen's wishes, please do not dress in black as she would prefer this occasion to be a happy celebration of her life.
