He loved hand and racquetball, bowling and fishing. Though quiet, he was a friend to all who knew him.
Julie was a highly decorated veteran (Silver Star, Bronze Star, two Purple Hearts and various other service ribbons) of World War II, serving as a medic in the European Theater.
He was a longtime active member of Congregation Agudath Achim, serving on the Chevra Kadisha Committee, the Jewish Educational Alliance, and serving as an officer of The Men's Club.
Julie loved ice cream, Snicker Bars, was known for his strong handshake, crinkly eyes and smile, and friendly, positive spirit. Most of all he loved family and friends.
