Joyce Higgins Kiefert , 79, of Tampa, Florida, passed away Monday morning, February 28, 2022, at Candler Hospital.
Born in Norfolk, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late George Higgins and the late Gloria Ludford Harper. Joyce obtained her master's in English Literature from the University of South Florida. She retired from the University, where she worked as an Accounts Payable Supervisor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Donald Bradley Kiefert, Sr.
Survivors include her children, Sheila Clark, Jason Kiefert, and Brad Kiefert; grandchildren, Patrick Clark, Shannon Clark, Coby Kiefert, Jazmine Hutchings, Sydney Kiefert, Elwood Kiefert, Jade Kiefert, Patrick Kiefert, and Cassandra Kiefert; great grandchild, Breeze Jones, Jr.; a sister, Linda Brewer.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock, Sunday afternoon, March 6, 2022, at the graveside, Garden of Memories Cemetery - 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida.
