Joyce Creel, 56, of Brooklet, Georgia and wife of Frank S. Creel, died Wednesday afternoon, October 17, 2012, at her home surrounded by her family and under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice.
Born in Chatham County, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late William Eugene Olsson and the late Betty Ruth Lewis Carter. Joyce was of the Baptist faith. She and her husband formerly owned and operated Chatham Collision Center in Savannah. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Frank Allan Creel, and a brother, Robert Carter.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Frank S. Creel of Brooklet, Georgia; one daughter, Tammy Sue Carter of Brooklet, Georgia; three grandchildren, Heather Carter, Franklin Carter and Michael Carter; one great-granddaughter, Lanie Kate Marrero; two sisters, Rachel Smith of Hinesville, Georgia and Selisa Harn of Richmond Hill, Georgia, and five brothers, Kenneth Christianson of the Nevils Community, Georgia, Randy Christianson of the Eldora Community, Georgia, Chris Christianson of Richmond Hill, Georgia, William Olsson of Claxton, Georgia and Danny Olsson of Hinesville, Georgia.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o\'clock Thursday evening at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o\'clock Friday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend J. Kelly Newman.?? Interment will be in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park- West.
