Joseph 'Joey' Cortland Nesmith, 66, of Fleming, Georgia, died Friday morning, June 29, 2018, at his home.
Born in Brunswick, Georgia, he was a son of Nita Briggs Budlong and the late Archie Nesmith. Joey was a member of Lake Mayer Church of Christ. He owned and operated Mr. Alternator and Starter. Joey enjoyed softball, fishing and boating.
Surviving are two daughters, Lindsay Nesmith and Sally Nesmith; one son, Paul Nesmith and his wife, Danielle; his mother, Nita Briggs Budlong; one sister, Vickie Lopez and her husband, Anthony; one brother, Bobby Olson, and nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 o'clock Monday at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 6 o'clock Monday evening in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service. Interment will be private.
