d. December 18, 2021

Joseph Stanley Miller, native of Dallas, Texas, was born July 28, 1956, and died in his home in Clearwater, Florida, on Friday morning, December 17, 2021.

Joe was the epitome of a free-spirited individual. He loved dancing, was a sports fanatic, enjoyed getting up on stage for a night of karaoke and could belt out the lyrics of any popular music tune. Joe was a man's man when it came to spouting out the stats of any player in the NFL as well as all sports teams. He would always favor the Dallas Cowboys and included the Tampa Bay Bucs in his rooting session once relocating to Clearwater, FL.

After high school, Joe continued his education in the field of marketing.?? Amazingly though, Joe's career took a path in retail sales. He was recognized by Nordstrom's in Dallas for his superior sales capability. Joe received numerous awards for Top Salesman and was known in the Industry as a 'Shoe Dog'. Joe was infamous for not only his high volume of shoe sales but his enthusiasm and ability to reorganize the layout of the department. After relocating to Tampa, FL, Joe was welcomed on board to join Nordstrom's of Tampa. Eventually moving to Clearwater, Joe continued his passion with Peltz Shoe Company. Joe's engaging personality always brought customers into the store asking for him. It was often said that Joe was more than a salesman.?? Everyone looked to Joe as if he was a personal friend, no matter their gender, race or religious denomination. He entered into many people's lives and those relationships continued way after their sale purchase.

Joe was always very family oriented. He adored his sisters, Cindy Miller of Dallas, Tx and Dr. Sandra Miller Portman currently residing in Atlanta, Ga.?? When Joe was about 9 years old, the family dynamics grew and another 3 siblings entered the household that he treasured always, including a sister, Valerie Prest, and brothers, Scott & Doug Druker.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Miller.

Joe will be missed by his mother, Ann Strother of Clearwater, his Uncle Dr. Bernard Portman and Aunt Roz of Savannah along with his nephews Michael Portman and David & Ben Golden. Joe will also be missed by his longtime friends, colleagues, and the extended family.
