Johnson Taylor, 87, of Savannah, Georgia, and husband of Hilda Scott Taylor, died Sunday morning, September 25, 2022, at Hospice Savannah.?? Born in Baxley, Georgia, on September 12, 1935, he was the son of the late Jim and Maggie Jones Taylor.?? He was a 40 plus year veteran of the Savannah Police Department.?? Taylor loved spending time with his family and watching Matt Dillon.



In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Barry W. Taylor and 4 siblings.



Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Hilda Scott Taylor; daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and Tim Gibson; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Melissa Taylor; 5 grandchildren, Trey and Megan Gibson, Jonathan Gibson, Jared and Aleigha Gibson, Cody Taylor and Haley Taylor.?? 3 great grandchildren, his precious Emma Gibson, Jonathan 'high 5' Gibson, Jr and Ryker Gibson.?? Sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and Ernie Sessoms and sister-in-law Mickey Morgan.



Visitation, Wednesday, September 28, 2022, from 5pm to 6pm with Memorial immediately following.
