John Michael 'Mike' Leisure, 70, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, and husband of Elizabeth 'Liz' Ann Garretson Leisure, passed away Friday morning, October 22, 2021, at Hospice Savannah.
Born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Clemence Ellsworth Leisure and the late Violet May Spiker Leisure. A 1969 graduate of Parkersburg High School, Mike worked for 32 years at Dupont Washington Works. He was a member of Mid-Ohio Valley Deaf Baptist Church. Mike loved to fish and hunt, target shoot, ride motorcycles, and spend time with his loving family and friends.?? He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Bobby Leisure, Bill Leisure, and Dan Leisure; sisters, Sharon Kay Leisure, and Betty Leisure Taylor.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Elizabeth 'Liz' Ann Garretson Leisure; son, Joseph Leisure and his two children, Marley and Vincent of Parkersburg, West Virginia; daughter, Michelle (David) Morehead and their three children, Theodore, Jaxsyn, and Amelia of?? Parkersburg, West Virginia; step-daughter, Linda (Darrin) Lawson and their daughter, Scarlet of Little Hocking, Ohio; sister, Linda (Nick) Endicott of Battleground, Washington and several loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
