John Jackson 'Jack' Griffin, 69, of the Pineora Community, Georgia, went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday morning, February 5, 2013.
Mr. Griffin proudly served his country in the U. S. Army. He also worked several years at Great Dane Trailers and Delta Metals in Savannah. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Elizabeth Solomons Griffin, his brothers, Otis Butler Griffin, Jr., Bruce Michael Griffin and his sister, Linda Griffin Carpenter.
He was the beloved father of Donna (David) Carter; beloved grandfather to Krystle (John) Hall and Christina Sykes. He will also be missed by his siblings, Robert (Wanda) Griffin, Martha (Bill) Walsh and Becky Shirley as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Thursday evening at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The burial service will be held at 1 o'clock Friday afternoon at the graveside, Elkins Cemetery in the Pineora Community.

The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Port Wentworth for their loving care over the past two years and the Emergency Department staff of Memorial University Medical Center for their kind, expert care during his final illness.
