Joel 'Scott' Heatley, 46, died Sunday, July 21, 2013, in Richmond, Virginia.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, he was the son of the late James Wilson Heatley and the late Sonya Faye Blackburn Heatley. Scott was an all-star athlete in high school football and basketball.
Surviving are his daughter, Riley Heatley of Richmond, Virginia; his son Ryan Heatley of Richmond, Virginia, three sisters, Shannon Heatley, Monica Goodwin, and Melanie Young, all of Savannah; two aunts, Sharon Panch, and her husband, Fred, and Mareese Stone, both of Savannah; his uncle, Jack Blackburn of Augusta; three nieces, Kala Mason of St. Simons Island, Laikin Dooley of Savannah, and Emily Young of Savannah; his nephew, Dillon Mason of Savannah and several cousins.
The funeral service will be held at 3 o\'clock Saturday afternoon in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue. Interment will be private.
