Joel Ertischek

Joel was born on January 12, 1945, in Brooklyn, NY, and grew up in Great Neck, NY. He attended Post College before moving to Boston, MA, and then New Jersey, where he worked as a sales representative in the pet industry. In 1988, he moved to Marietta, GA, where he resided until moving to Nashville, TN in 2003.

Joel loved sports, music, animals, and most of all, his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Claire Ertischek. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Sherrie Ertischek, his three daughters, Tara Tieman, Lauren Rountree, and Allison Ertischek, his three grandchildren, Samuel Rountree, Sarah Rountree, and Colin Lasker, and his brother and sister-in-law, Rod and Renee Ertischek.

Graveside services and interment were held at 10 A.M. Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, GA.
