Joan M. Bloom, beloved mother, sister, wife, and grandmother, of Savannah, Georgia and Miami, Florida, died on July 5, 2018. Joan was born June 13, 1936, to Pearl and Maxon Margoles in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She lived her life with her best friend and identical twin, Jane M. Zwig, who passed away on May 10, 2018. On July 22, 1956, Joan married the love of her life, Dr. Eugene (Bucky) Bloom. Together they traveled the world but made most of their time and memories with family and friends in Savannah (Georgia), Boca Raton (Florida), and Miami (Florida). Their love affair lasted over 61 years.
Joan is survived by her husband, her daughters: Margie Albert (Ira), Stacey Schlafstein (Barry), and Robin Wolf (David), and grandchildren: Jennifer Albert, Ashley Schlafstein, Sara Schlafstein, Jessica Schlafstein, Alex Albert, Megan Wolf, and Matthew Wolf. She is also survived by her nieces/nephews: Marcy Solmson (Jim), Carol Andersson (Mikael), and Andrew Zwig (John Stanton).
The funeral service will be held at 11:30 Monday morning, July 9, 2018, at the graveside, Lakeside Memorial Park - 10301 NW 25th Street in Miami, Florida, conducted by Rabbi Robert W. Haas.
