Jimmie Gossett 'JJ' Cherry, 82, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of Donald Gilbert Cherry, died Monday evening, December 16, 2013, at St. Joseph's Hospital
Born in Ripley, Mississippi, she was a daughter of the late Vance Gossett and the late Mary Elizabeth Moffitt Gossett. Mrs. Cherry was of the Episcopal faith. She was formerly with the FBI and was a homemaker.
Surviving are her daughter, Debbie Cherry Duncan, of Savannah, Georgia; three grandchildren, Ty Duncan of Atlanta, Georgia, and Jami and Kelly Duncan of Savannah, Georgia; one great-grandson, Andrew Parker Duncan; one sister, Vance Helen Parks of Ripley, Mississippi, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 1 o\'clock Saturday afternoon in Westminster Presbyterian Church in Ripley, Mississippi, conducted by Brother Bill Connolly. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
