Jeffrey Wood Smith, 52, of Savannah, Georgia, died Friday afternoon, August 19, 2016, at Memorial University Medical Center.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, he was a son of the late James Frank Smith, Jr. and Marion Wood Smith. Jeffrey was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed spending time with his family, swinging, eating, and going for long rides.
Survivors include one sister, Frances Smith Kohan of Stockbridge; two brothers, Joseph Marion Smith and his wife, Patti, of Aiken, South Carolina, and James Frank Smith III of Stockbridge; five nieces, Katie Frost and her husband, Jason, Brandi Lee and her husband, Kevin, Rebecca Dawn Monaco and her husband, Randy, Sydnee Hardy and her husband, Justin, and Chelsea Shattuck and her husband, Brenton; many great-nieces and great-nephews; two aunts, Barbara S. Watson and Sue S. Whitten and her husband, Julian, and eight cousins.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Monday morning at the graveside, Hillcrest Abbey ' East, conducted by The Reverend John A. Haney.
