Bluffton is in a very sad \"State of Mind\". We have lost a soul with a heart of gold . There is not a person in Bluffton who does not love Jeffrey Robinowich.
Jeffrey Charles Robinowich was born to Hilda and Morris Robinowich on March 23,1959 in Dothan, Alabama. Jeffrey passed away Monday, January 20, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Jeffrey was predeceased by his parents Hilda and Morris and his brother Jerrel.
The Robinowich Family moved to Bluffton with Jeffrey and his siblings when he was three years old, having purchased the historic Planters Merchantile on Calhoun Street. The family prospered in their new home and made many friends.
Jeffrey graduated from Bluffton High School. He decided to see the world, so off he went.
Among Jeffrey\'s many pursuits were a stint in the photography business and other interesting options. Bluffton beckoned and he returned to buy the now famous Morris\' Garage from his father on Highway 46. He had finally found his calling and the rest is history.
Jeffrey met and fell in love with Charlene Willis, a beauty he met and fell in love with in North Carolina on a business trip. The couple was married in December of 1985 and have made their home in Bluffton since that day. Jeffrey is survived by his loving wife Charlene, his daughter Hahna Robinowich Hayden, her husband James, their children Malena and Rosalie, son Phillip, his wife Marlene, their children Henry and Ezra Robinowich, and son Samuel Robinowich the bon vivant of the family, sisters Pam Stern and her husband Alan Stern and Tobie Yoder and her husband Bryan Yoder and his sister- in- law Joan Robinowich.
Jeffrey was a member of the Hardeeville Masonic Lodge 348, Bluffton Men\'s Club, Bluffton Fire Commission, and in November of 2019 was elected to the Bluffton Wall of Honor.
Jeffrey and Charlene loved to travel and did so quite often. His most cherished things in life were his adorable grandangels they knew as Pop Pop, fun times with his \"rat pack\" Michael, Jim, Chuck and Moose, his 27 year- old Burmese python \"Tiny\", visiting his long- time retired customers no matter where they were and the companionship of his beloved dogs Tank and Roscoe.
The funeral service will be held at 1:45 Wednesday afternoon, January 22, 2020, at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Robert W. Haas.
Shiva will be held at the home of Phillip & Marlene (996 Oakwood Drive, Hardeeville, South Carolina 29927) on the following days & times:
Wednesday, January 22nd 6 pm ' 8 pm (Minyan service at 6 pm)
Thursday, January 23rd 10 am ' 2 pm
Friday, January 24th 10 am ' 2 pm
