Jean Tyler Winslow, 92, of Titusville, Florida died Wednesday morning, December 24, 2014, at the Edward M. Poe Hospice Care Center in Titusville, Florida after a long illness.
She received a BS in Nursing from St Joseph\'s School of Nursing and was employed by the Health Department and then St Joseph\'s Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. Jean eventually became the Assistant Director of Nursing and the night supervisor at St Joseph\'s Hospital. She also taught nursing courses at Armstrong State College. Jean was preceded in death by her first husband, James Thomas Tyler of Savannah, Georgia, and her second husband, Lt Col William Burke 'Bill' Winslow, United States Air Force (Ret.) of Benezette, Pennsylvania.
Surviving are her daughters, Gloria Tyler Moye and Judy Tyler, MD of Titusville, Florida; her grandsons, James Douglas Moye and Kenneth Tyler Moye; one great-grandson, John Tyler Moye; her nieces, JoAnn Grice Lanier, Joyce Grice DuBois and Susan Harkins Howell, and her nephews, Neal Harvey, Frank Harkins and Louis Harkins.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Monday evening at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the graveside, Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, conducted by The Reverend William E. Gardner.
