Jayne "Libby" Elizabeth Scott
May 30, 1934 — March 16, 2023
Jayne "Libby" Elizabeth Hill Scott, 88, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of USAF, Ret. Robert L. Scott, passed away Thursday morning, March 16, 2023, at her home.
She was a member of Southside Baptist Church since 1971, having served as a missionary with the WMU Dee Gooding Circle for over 20 years. She loved serving in the Nursing Homes cutting hair and in the Savannah Community. Libby also worked in Children's Ministry for over 10 years.
Libby was a trained Master Cosmetologist and was an exemplary military wife. She was a Professional Grandmother to her granddaughter Mallory Elizabeth Scott Slagle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Annie Hill; husband of 35 years, USAF, Ret. Robert L. Scott; and numerous siblings.
She is survived by her son, Robert Steven Scott; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Scott; granddaughter, Mallory Elizabeth Scott Slagle (Bryan); and great- grandchildren, Ellison and Harper Slagle.
The family would like to thank Dr. Dean Stephens, Dr. Steven Corse, and Dr. Gifford Lorenz for all their care. A special thanks to Dr. Michael Mobley and his staff for making the last chapter of her life a happy one.
A Visitation will be held Saturday April 1, 2023 at Southside Baptist Church from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday April 1, 2023 at Southside Baptist Church at 3:00 PM.
