Jay Allen Kaminsky, 66, of Savannah, Georgia, died Thursday morning, June 13, 2013, in Atlanta, Georgia.
He was born in Savannah, Georgia on April 30, 1947, the eldest son of ??Jean Schur Kaminsky and the late Julius Kaminsky. Jay was a member of Congregation Agudath Achim. He was a retired co-owner of Southern Motors, where he worked for over forty years. Jay was a former member of the National Automobile Dealers Association.?? He loved to fish and spend time with his son, Julius.
Surviving are his son, Julius Kaminsky of Savannah; his mother, Jean Schur Kaminsky of Savannah; his sister, Toby K. Friedman of Savannah; two brothers, Myron Kaminsky and his wife, Fran, and Danny Kaminsky and his wife, Lisa, all of Savannah, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 5:30 Friday afternoon at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Ruven Barkan.
The family will sit Shiva from 2 until 8 o'clock Sunday and from 5 until 8 o'clock on Monday and Tuesday at the home of his mother, 29 East 65th Street.
