Janie Harrison Moore, 87, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of Lindy Ray Moore, Sr., died Friday morning, July 24, 2015, at Memorial University Medical Center.



Born in Fairfax, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late James Harper Harrison and the late Orena Walling Harrison. Mrs. Moore was a longtime member of Cresthill Baptist Church, which is now Higher Ground Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.



In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Wallace J. Gossett, Jr.; her sisters, Margaret Creech, Duck Harter, Doll Creech and Pet Williams, and her brothers-in- law, Bubba Moore, Billy Halbert and Clyde Creech.



Surviving are her daughter, Linda Ruth Moore Gossett of Fernandina Beach, Florida; two sons, Lindy Ray Moore, Jr. and his wife, Debra, and J. Craig Moore and his wife, Lisa, all of Savannah, Georgia; six grandchildren, Gwen Gossett Groce and her husband, Brian Michael, Sean Gregory Gossett and his wife, Anna McDill, Lindy Ryan Moore and his wife, Heather, Cody Robert Moore and his wife, Kourtney, Matthew Moore and Carlie Moore; twelve great-grandchildren, Michael Wallace Groce, Bradley McDill Gossett, Sarah Beth Gossett, Braedon Riley Groce, Jace Kohlten Groce, Alex Matthew Gossett, Emma Kate Gossett, Ashlinn Elaine Groce, Caroline Ruth Gossett, Chase Alexander Moore, Aiden Michael Moore and Charlotte Grace Moore; four sisters, Gladys Marchant and her husband, Ray, Ann Moore, Lena Stiggins and Loretta Halbert; one brother, Sonny Harrison and his wife, Bobbie Jean, and a number of nieces and nephews.



The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 o'clock Sunday afternoon and from 4 until 6 o'clock Monday afternoon at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.



The funeral service will be held at 6 o'clock Monday evening in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service. Private entombment was in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
