Janet Bowers Bean

POOLER, GEORGIA - Janet Smith Bowers Bean, 67, of Pooler, Georgia, died Saturday morning, March 31, 2012, at Candler Hospital as a result of an automobile accident.
Born in Front Royal, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Wilson Whitside Smith and the late Gaynelle Morris Smith. Janet was a member of Calvary Assembly of God in Pooler. She was a waitress at the Waffle House at I-95 and Highway 204 and had been with the company for more than 25 years. Janet was devoted to her Church, family and friends. She loved people and animals and was a pet rescue advocate. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Leigh Bowers.
Surviving are one daughter, Kandice Bowers Logue and her husband, Wendel, of Savannah, Georgia; two sisters, Frances S. Windle and her husband, Richard, and Margaret O. Strickland, all of Savannah, Georgia; one brother, George S. Smith and his wife, Patricia, of Savannah, Georgia; three grandchildren, Taylor O'Neal Williams, Sidney Leigh Williams and Tristan Logue, and several beloved nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Tuesday evening at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah.
The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at Calvary Assembly of God in Pooler conducted by The Reverend Daniel L. Webber. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
