Jane Turner Schunemann, 83, of Savannah, Georgia and wife of Albert 'Al' Henry Schunemann, Sr., died Monday evening, July 29, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late T. J. Turner and the late Marie Williams Roberts. Mrs. Schunemann was an active member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir. Mrs. Schunemann taught at St. Paul's Lutheran Day School for 32 years. She was proud of the individual instruction she gave to her students. Mrs. Schunemann thoroughly loved her family.
Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Albert 'Al' Henry Schunemann, Sr. of Savannah, Georgia; one daughter, Sandra 'Sandi' L. Schunemann of Savannah, Georgia; one son, Albert 'Al' Henry Schunemann, Jr. and his wife, Sandy, of Wylie, Texas; three grandchildren, Anastasia 'Annie' Parker, Steven Schunemann and his wife, Mandy, and Michelle Furman Morris; one great-grandson, Steven Cole Schunemann; one sister-in-law, Inez L. Smith and two brother's-in-law, Harold A. Schunemann and Robert F. Schunemann.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Thursday evening at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Friday morning at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church conducted by The Reverend Peter J. Hartmann. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
