James 'Jimmy' Alton Sasser, 72, of Bloomingdale, Georgia, died Thursday afternoon, July 9, 2015, at Riverview Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Richland County, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Joseph Alton Sasser and the late Anna Pryor Sasser. Jimmy was a member of Calvary Baptist Temple. He served in the Georgia National Guard. Jimmy was a retired meat cutter for Piggly Wiggly.
Surviving are his daughter, Elizabeth Sasser Hucks and her husband, David; his son, Joseph Alton Sasser of Sandy Springs, Georgia, and two grandchildren, Alyssa Lauren Hucks and Travis Jordan Hucks.
The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 10 o'clock Monday morning at the graveside, Screven Memorial Cemetery in Sylvania, conducted by The Reverend Darin S. Hyer.
