James 'Jim' Richard Langenfeld, 95, of Savannah, Georgia and widower of Mary Alice Hill Langenfeld, died Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Hospice Savannah.
Born in Centralia, Illinois, he was a son of the late August Langenfeld and the late Ruby Shepherd Langenfeld. Mr. Langenfeld was a member of White Bluff Presbyterian Church. He was a retired automobile dealership owner and realtor. Mr. Langenfeld loved his family and was an avid golfer.
In addition to his wife of 59 years and his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Josephine Langenfeld, and a brother, Robert 'Bob' Langenfeld.
Surviving are two sons, Dr. James 'Jim' M. Langenfeld and his wife, Becky, and Thomas 'Tom' G. Langenfeld and his wife, Becky; four grandchildren, John Thomas 'Tommy' Langenfeld and his wife, Jessica, Angela Davis and her husband, Bonner, Andrew Glass and Marissa Hulin, and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 o'clock Monday evening, November 20, 2017, at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The memorial service will be held at 7 o'clock Monday evening, November 20, 2017, in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Dr. James L. Cavanah II. Interment will be private.
