James Curtis Jones, 60, of Guyton, Georgia and husband of Cynthia 'Cindy' Ann Bouton Jones, died Sunday afternoon, August 19, 2018, at Memorial University Medical Center.



Born in Savannah, Georgia, he was a son of the late Virgil Michael Jones and the late Velma Joyce Kilgo Jones. Curtis was a troubleman and lineman with Georgia Power for 37 years. He loved his family and his friends and enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting.



In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, James Preston Bouton, Sr. and Dorothy Mae Stricklan Bouton, and his brother-in-law, William 'Bill' E. Bouton.



Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Cynthia 'Cindy' Ann Bouton Jones; one son, Brandon James Jones and his wife, Samantha; his nephew, Austin Bouton, whom he considered a son, and his wife, Jennifer; one sister, Brenda Shead and her husband, Steve; two brothers, Mike Jones and his wife, Jan, and Barry Jones; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Mae Bouton and Martha Dell Malone and her husband, Brian; one brother-in-law, James 'Jimmy' P. Bouton, Jr. and his wife, Pamela; nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.



The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Wednesday evening at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah.



The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Steve McCoy.
