James "Jimmy" Preston Bouton Jr.

James “Jimmy” Preston Bouton Jr., 65, of Bloomingdale, Georgia, ended this Earthly journey on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, surrounded by family.

Born in Savannah, Georgia, he was one of five children to the late James Bouton Sr. and Dorothy Stricklan Bouton. Jimmy’s hobbies included boating, weightlifting, enjoying family gatherings, going motorcycle riding with family & friends, coaching his kid’s baseball and bowling teams and a passion for speed. He loved to travel and traveled to many places with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, William "Bill" E. Bouton; and his sister, Martha Dell Malone.

Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Pamela Bouton; children, James A. Bouton, Aron A. Bouton, Matthew W.H. Bouton, Johnathan B. Bouton, and Christy V. Bouton; two sisters, Cynthia A. Jones and Dorothy M. Bouton; grandchildren, Allison L. Bouton, Katherine A. Bouton, Ella Kate Bouton, Benjamin A. Bouton, and Hannah L. Bouton; as well as numerous nieces and a nephew; his canine companion, Maverick; and many devoted friends.

The family will receive friends from six until eight o’clock Thursday evening at Gamble Funeral Service – 410 Stephenson Avenue. The funeral service will be held at ten o’clock in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service, on Friday, November 3, 2023 conducted by Reverend Harrison Huxford. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery.
