James Ransom 'Jim' Black, 77, of Westminster, Maryland and husband of Gloria Ann Bunger Black, died Monday morning, August 11, 2014, at Dove House Hospice in Westminster.
Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, he was a son of the late James Baldwin Black and the late Hazel Vivian Ransom Black. Mr. Black was of the LDS faith. He was a United States Air Force veteran. Mr. Black was a retired security systems engineer.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Gloria Ann Bunger Black of Westminster, Maryland; one daughter, Cherie A. Black and her husband, Timothy 'Tim' Waligore, of Littlestown, Pennsylvania; one granddaughter, Savannah Waligore.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Friday evening at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Saturday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Douglas Cone. Interment, with full military honors, will be in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
