Jacquelyn 'Jackie' Adams Brinson, 89, of Thunderbolt, Georgia and widow of Wade Brinson, died Wednesday afternoon, July 12, 2017, at Memorial University Medical Center.



Born in Vidalia, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Alva Jackson Adams and the late Ruth Hamilton Adams. Mrs. Brinson was an active member of First Freewill Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She was a registered nurse having worked at St. Joseph's Hospital and Memorial University Medical Center.



In addition to her husband of 61 years and her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Zeva McKinna and her brother, Billy Adams.



Surviving are one daughter, Susan Renee Bedell and her husband, Frank, of Savannah; one son, LTC Wade Hamilton Brinson, U.S. Army (Ret.) and his wife, Terry, of Enterprise, Alabama; four grandchildren, Katie Medley and her husband, Jason, Kristina Ruth 'Kristie' Dinh and her husband, Bob, Carman Horton and her husband, David, and Christopher Bedell and his wife, Haley; seven great-grandchildren, Luke Medley, Logan Medley, Bentley Horton, Braxton Horton, Bryson Horton, Jackson Bedell and Donovan Dinh, and a number of nieces and nephews.



The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 o'clock Monday morning, July 17, 2017, at First Freewill Baptist Church ' 5210 Skidaway Road.



The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Monday morning, July 17, 2017, at First Freewill Baptist Church conducted by The Reverend Michael L. Locklear. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
