Jackie Friedman, a native of Savannah, was the daughter of the late Alvin and Doris (Dolly) Karsman. She was a graduate of Savannah High School, class of 1954, and attended the University of Alabama. Upon marriage, she raised four children, and during her lifetime, held the most important job as mom. Initially, she was a stay-at-home mom, a Cub Scout den mother, a baseball, basketball, football, swimming, and ballet mom for her children as well as an active participant in the community. Later, as times changed, so did Jackie. She moved on to a successful career as a travel agent, first with Gordon World Travel, and then Savannah Travel. In addition to the love of her family, she had a lifelong close circle of friends.?? She enjoyed playing Mah Jong, travelling and her pets.
Jackie is predeceased in life by her parents and her sister, Kay Karsman Holt.
She is survived by her four children, Renee, Kim, Samuel and Michael, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock, Sunday morning, September 12, 2021, at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Avigdor Slatus.
