Jackson Ellis Weikert, 19, of Richmond Hill, Georgia, died Monday morning, September 27, 2021, at his home.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he was a son of David Brian Weikert and Jennifer Leigh Culbreth Weikert. Jackson. He was a very faithful and active member of The Kirk Presbyterian Church.
Jackson was born with Cerebral Palsy due to a stroke he suffered prior to birth. Despite all of his physical limitations, Jackson radiated joy. Although he was unable to speak, his smile and bright eyes connected him deeply to everyone he encountered. Jackson loved people with his whole being. His family and friends love and miss him profoundly, yet rejoice that he is healed and in the arms of his Savior.
Surviving are his parents, David Brian Weikert and Jennifer Leigh Culbreth Weikert; his sister, Isobel Reid Weikert; his brother, Griffin Smith Weikert; his maternal grandparents, Darrell and Anne Horne and George and Debra Culbreth; his paternal grandparents, Harold and Connie Weikert; his aunts, Pam Stanley, Kathy Cox and her husband, Fenton, Karen Murphy and her husband, Doug, Marla Ashworth and her husband, Don, and Dee Dee Schmitz and her husband, Paul; his uncles, Scott Weikert and Shawn Culbreth, and many cousins.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Friday evening, October 1, 2021, at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon, October 2, 2021, at The Kirk Presbyterian - 3212 Bee Road, Savannah, conducted by Dr. Merle A. Messer. Interment will be private.
