Family and friends, It’s with heartfelt sadness along with our love and appreciation to share news about Jack William Schultz, aka ‘Poppy’, ‘Uncle Jack’, ‘Mr Yes-face’, ‘Dena’s husband’ and ‘Chief of the Fakarwee’ Indian tribe has left peacefully from our world as of Sunday, January 7th, 2024 (before sunset). He was 82 years old, 1 month shy of his 83rd birthday. He fought a tough bout with Covid over the past month that he couldn’t overcome. He is survived by me and Robin (his daughter and son-in-law), Grandsons’ Ben and Nate Walters, Frodo and Rosie Walters (our pet pooches). In addition, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Michael and Suzanne Konter and their children, Jason and Jessica Konter (Jack’s nephew and niece).
He will be placed in his final resting place alongside his wife, Dena, of blessed memory and in marriage nearly 50 years, in the Philip Konter Family Plot in Bonaventure Cemetery at 12 Noon, Wednesday January 10th, 2024. Any and all are welcome to attend the funeral service. 330 Bonaventure Rd, Savannah, GA 31404.

Two (2) Shiva services for the family will be held at the Walters’ Johns Creek, GA Residence later this week;
1. Thursday, January 11th, 2024 in the evening at 6 pm
2. Saturday, January 13th, 2024 in the evening at 6:30 pm
For all who knew Jack or had the opportunity to meet him and were touched by his quick wit and humor, love and compassion, or his will to fight the establishment, please raise a glass of 100 proof vodka in toast! Le Chaim!
