Jack Karesh passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023, in Savannah, Georgia, surrounded by his loved ones.
Jack was born on August 20, 1935, in Charleston, South Carolina; where he also met his beloved wife, Harriet, on a blind date. He was well known by the community for his local business, Jack’s Package Shop.
He belonged to Bnai Brith Jacob Synagogue, since coming to Savannah. Being devoted to his business, he will be most remembered for his love of entertaining people wherever he went.
He is survived by his daughters, Michelle Brody (Jerry) and Amy Fishman (Victor); his grandchildren, Nathan, Jason, Shannon, Rose, and Abby; his great-grandchildren, Xander, Isla, Maddox, and Morgan; his brother Buddy Karesh (Susan); and his sister, Sheralyn Rosenblum (Arthur)
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Harriet, after sharing 48 years together.
A graveside service was held at Bonaventure Cemetery on Sunday, August 13, 2023.
