Iosif Khasid, 88, of Savannah, Georgia, died Wednesday morning, May 11, 2016, at Candler Hospital.
An 'awesome husband, father, and grandfather', Mr. Khasid was retired from the Soviet Union Air Force after 29 years of service. He was an inventor and a member of Congregation B'nai B'rith Jacob.
Surviving are his wife of over 63 years, Galina Khasid of Savannah; his daughter, Marina Grinberg and her husband, Eduard, of Savannah; his son, Igor Khasid of Minsk, Belarus, and three grandchildren, Mayya Grinberg, Eleanor Khasid, and Boris Khasid.
The funeral service will be held at 2:15 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Avigdor Slatus.
