Inez Price Pachter died on April 16, 2016, at her home in Savannah, Georgia.
Inez was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on August 11, 1918, to Sara and Louis Price. In 1939, she married David Pachter, also of Memphis, originally from Webb, Mississippi. After David served five years in the Army during WWII, they moved to Greenwood, Mississippi, where they lived from 1946 until 1985.
In addition to founding Stanley's Department Store, David and Inez were active in Temple Beth Israel, the Community Concerts organization, and other community and civic organizations. Upon retirement, they moved to Boca Raton, Florida. Several years after David's death in 1990, Inez moved to Savannah, Georgia to be near her daughter Robbie. Inez lived at The Marshes of Skidaway Island, a senior residential facility, where she enjoyed the company of friends and family, along with occasional trips abroad.
Inez is survived by her children, John Pachter (Ilene) of McLean, Virginia; Eileen Pink (Mike) of Fort Worth, Texas; and Robbie Hollander (Sandy) of Savannah, Georgia, along with six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren in Fairfax, Virginia; Narberth, Pennsylvania; Savannah, Georgia; and Seville, Spain.
Inez will be laid to rest beside David in Eternal Light Memorial Gardens in Boynton Beach, Florida.
